Storyline Overwhelm the Sky
Eddie Huntly, an east coast radio personality, moves to San Francisco to marry Thea, the sister of his best friend Neil, a successful entrepreneur. Shortly before Eddie's arrival, Neil is found murdered in what the police surmise was a simple mugging gone awry. As the sullen Eddie steps in as interim host of his old friend Dean's late-night talk-radio show, he obsessively makes regular visits to the forested spot where Neil's corpse was found. One such visit unleashes a chain of unpredictable events that sends Eddie snooping into the life of a sleepwalking drifter with a mysterious past.Movie details

Find More About Overwhelm the Sky
"An Existential Epic Neo-Noir," loosely adapted from Charles Brockden Brown's 1799 novel Edgar Huntly, or Memoirs of a Sleepwalker, Overwhelm the Sky tells the story of Edgar "Eddie" Huntly, an east coast radio personality who moves to San Francisco to marry Thea, the sister of his best friend Neil, a successful entrepreneur.
Overwhelm The Sky is wildly ambitious and brave and imperfect. Films like this don't come along too often, so you might want to give it a try.
Overwhelm the sky (2019) is a pretty good film that has its moments and would be appreciated by a niche festival audience.

Overwhelm the Sky is a thought-provoking product indicative of a time that does not often poke its head back to surface in these ferocious days but when it does you should – like a movie whale in the cinematic sea – savour it for all its majesty, flaws and ambition, because one wonders when something like it will next rise to the surface.
‘ Overwhelm the Sky’ is an ambitious piece of work that is light years away from the mundane, historical, baggage and neurosis of a couple of friends and their religious beliefs and differences. Overwhelm The Sky tells the story of Edgar “Eddie” Huntly, an east coast radio personality who to marry his fiancée Thea, moves to San Francisco to be closer to her.
‘Overwhelm the Sky': Daniel Kremer's Micro-Budgeted Indie is a Fearless Vision [Review] — World of Reel Indie director Daniel Kremer has had seven feature-length productions to his name, but he goes for broke in the small-town epic “Overwhelm the Sky,” which had its World Premiere at the San Francisco Independent Film Festival in 2019.
Overwhelm The Sky is at least 10 minutes too long, and the opening title sequence does not impart a good first impression. But, if you can stick with the movie, thanks to a great screenplay, impressive direction, and (mostly) naturalistic performances, there is a lot to enjoy about this subdued mystery.
Billed as “An Existential Epic Neo-Noir,” Overwhelm the Sky loosely adapts and updates Charles Brockden Brown’s 1799 novel Edgar Huntly, or Memoirs of a Sleepwalker, one of the earliest novels written in the newly formed United States of America.
