The Quake (Norwegian: Skjelvet) is a 2018 Norwegian disaster film directed by John Andreas Andersen. It is the sequel to The Wave and was released in Norwegian theaters on 31 August 2018.
The Quake follows Kristian as he makes a perilous attempt to help his wife, daughter and others escape a crumbling skyscraper when nature takes its course again. After surviving The Wave, Kristian Eikjord (Kristoffer Joner, Mission: Impossible – Fallout) and his family find themselves at the center of another natural disaster.
While I find the pacing annoying and the end of the movie a tad unsatisfying, as a whole 'The Quake' is a very good film and worth a look. Just keep in mind that while it doesn't quite measure up to 'The Wave,' it's still an entertaining and engaging movie.
